Negative Forces Will Be Tackled With Support Of People; PM Said

PM Nawaz Sharif said on Thursday that forces having a negative approach would be brought down with the help of the people. He assured that the PML-N government would work for the betterment of the people. The PM said that he needed the support of the people and said that his party and the people would bring these negative forces down. This was done while the PM was giving loan checks to the locals in the PM's Interest-Free Loan Scheme ceremony. The people who received these loans today belonged to a poor community of the Haripur District.

The PM continued while saying that he was informed of the risk of giving loans to the poor of not getting the money back but he denied it. He added that in reply he said that these people were the ones who would shine the country’s name. For this he was heavily applauded. The PM said that there were other schemes as well, which are the economic bones of the country such as the Youth Loan Scheme, Fee Reimbursement Scheme and Laptop Scheme. He said that the poor would be treated with justice in terms of banking.

He informed the receivers at the ceremony that rupees 3.5 billion had been put in this scheme and this amount would be increased up to 10 billion in the next four years. Loans ranging from 10, 000 to 50, 000 rupees would help the poor in every way. He said that women would also be given the fifty percent loans so that they can work their own betterment as well of their country’s betterment. The PM said that he had fulfilled his promise and would serve the whole nation with goodwill. The PM then referred to his visit of Dasu Hydro Power Project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa worth billions of rupees which would generate 4300 MW of electricity.

The PM said the biggest Diamer Bhasha Dam would be constructed in Gilgit-Baltistan, which would produce 4500 MW electricity. The Ghazi Barotha Power Project was also a creativity of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).  He said that Pakistan was far behind other countries and it should have had a lot of development projects up till now. He said that we lacked infrastructure facilities such as motorways. He highlighted that before PML-N no other ruler gave importance to this. He also briefed about the importance of the Karachi-Lahore Motorway.

He assured the people there that there would be less taxes on electricity and more projects would be started. He said that Pakistan was a nuclear country and it was not supposed to face power crisis and other problems. He also added that the GDP of the country had fallen steadily since his demise in the early 90s. He also assured of increase in exports for the development of the economy. Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, added that political stability was necessary for improvement and the country requires an industrial revolution. Important people like Qazi Azmat and Dr. Amjad Saqib were also present at the ceremony.
