ECP Admits May 2013 Election Flaws

ECP released a report which admits that the May 2013 elections were massively flawed. According to the Vice Chairman, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf; Shah Mahmood Qureshi, the ECP reports prove the allegations about the last general election placed by Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan to be true. This report totally supports whatever Imran Khan has said about the May 2013 election for the last 40 days in the Sit-In.

According to the report, the ECP helps the returning officers (ROs) for the massive flaws leading to the massive rigging in the last election. Shah Mahmood said while speaking to the journalists today that the ECP is using mild language in this report but, it clearly supports Imran Khan’s stance.

The report says the ROs altered the polling scheme in the last few days before the general elections on May 11, 2013. Moreover, the report reveals that the polling staff was altered at the eleventh hour by replacing some experienced ones with the inexperienced ones, hence, creating a huge confusion for the staff and the voters, which ultimately created biasness in the electoral results. This reports also confirms the illegal printing of ballot papers says; Shah Mahmood Qureshi.

The question that arises in a common mind is, if the May 2013 election was rigged as the report released by ECP has confirmed, then how can the members currently holding the offices in the wake of that election can be real and true representatives of people chosen by people? The present government is formed on the basis of the results of a Rigged and flawed Election, this leaves a big question mark on the minds of the general public that, if the 2013 elections were rigged, does this rigging and flaws makes the present government null and void?
