COAS Takes Notice of RAW’s Activities

On Tuesday, the Corps Commanders’ conference was held at General Headquarters, Rawalpindi and were presided over by the Chief of Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif. During the matter, professional matters were discussed. There was also a lengthy debate on the internal and external security situation in Pakistan. The participants also spent some time in reviewing the progress of the Zarb-e-Azb operation and the other ongoing Intelligence Based Operations (IBOs) being conducted in Pakistan. While speaking to the forum, it was declared by the army chief that significant damage had been inflicted on the terrorists because of the Zarb-e-Azb operation, which wouldn't have continued without the overwhelming support of the country.

The Chief of Army Staff emphasized the need of continued precision for targeting the terrorists that are squeezed in the isolated areas of FATA. He instructed the all concerned to intensity the IBOs carried out against terrorists, criminals and their abettors in urban areas for establishing peace in the country. Serious notice was also taken by the conference regarding the involvement of RAW, the Indian Spy Agency, for whipping up terrorist activities in Pakistan.

The army chief said that it is the nation’s resolve to achieve a terror-free Pakistan. He asserted that thousands of innocent citizens, which also include our children, have been martyred by extremists and terrorists.

He said that the brave armed forced and Law Enforcement Agencies have made a lot of sacrifices in order to fight these hardened and misguided criminals for safeguarding a better and peaceful future for the upcoming generation. The honor and dignity of the country as well as that of its armed forces and people has to be safeguarded at all cost, as per Mr. Raheel Sharif’s statement. He said that the move against criminals and terrorists is apolitical across the board and aimed at establishing peace in Pakistan.
