General Raheel Gifts Antique British Pistol to Amir Khan

The Chief of Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif, presented a gift to boxer Amir Khan in the form of an antique British pistol. He made the gesture only a day after he was awarded with an honorary championship belt by the World Boxing Council (WBC). The boxer shared the news of the gift via Twitter on Tuesday.

He met the Chief of Army Staff on Monday at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi where he presented him with the belt on behalf of Mauricio Sulaimán, the WBC President. However, this is not the first time the two have met. Amir had called on General Raheel Sharif in 2014 in Rawalpindi for expressing his solidarity with the armed forces of Pakistan after the massacre in Army Public School (APS), which had led to the deaths of more than 140 people, mostly students.
