Imran Khan Launching Campaigns To Find New Cricket Talent In KPK

Winning as the 3rd largest party in the country in the election held in 2013, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, is now slowly having a look at all the different areas aspects to make KPK a better province in the country. Imran Khan, the leader of PTI, is determined to launch a talent hunt campaign in the province to discover the cricket talent that is hiding in the province. In his recent statements he has shown great expectations from this campaign since he believes that all the great players in the country were selected through similar campaigns in the past.

Even though Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf and its leader Imran Khan face great challenges in the province, dealing with Taliban being the most challenging, the party and its leader don’t seem daunted from launching such campaigns. Securing peace in the province has been the biggest challenge for Imran Khan and he is one of the very rare political representatives in the country who believes in talking with Taliban to secure peace in the entire country. The particulars of the campaign are not clear now but the hunt will begin soon and Imran Khan seems very optimistic about the campaign.

The campaign has been launched and Imran Khan disclosed this great fact at the event that he was also brought to the international scene because of a talent hunt campaign of this kind. He even mentioned Shahid Afridi, the most hearted all-rounder in Pakistan cricket team, that he was discovered through such a campaign too. Not to forget, Shahid Afridi was also present at the launch and communicated with the youth about the campaign and other related issues. Shahid Afridi talked about the need of new talent not only for the cricket team but for the political scene of Pakistan too with the audience.

Currently the campaign will be running only in KPK province because PTI secured government in this part of the country only. The need for such campaigns throughout the country cannot be denied and an even more important concern is to launch such campaigns not only for cricket but other popular sports too.

The talent hunt scheme will finalize 8 teams after making them go through a complete process of selection and rejection. Finally there will be a few players for whom the recommendations will be made to the national cricket selectors of the country. It should not go without mentioning that Imran Khan wishes to bring home another world cup by bringing new talent in the cricket team of the country. Whether or not this campaign proves to be any good for the team, the nation would definitely be on the roads if the team manages to bring another cricket world cup home.
