Army Positioned in the Capital

Since the government has been receiving many terror threats, they have decided to position the army in Islamabad. The parliament lodges, the President’s house, Diplomatic Enclave Located and the Prime Minister’s house were declared as red zone areas and were given maximum protection. The Pakistan Army sent 250 personnel to perform the duties, assigned to them, in these red zone areas. When the intelligence agencies reported that the capital was not safe because terrorists could attack any second, the Military of Interior affairs gave full responsibility of the security of the capital to the army for the well-being of Islamabad.

Islamabad has been alerted after the attacks made on the Karachi airport because they fear that Islamabad might be the terrorists’ next target.
