French Firm On A Dream Project

Total, a French firm, is working on ways to connect Central and South Asia, with pipelines initiating a new way for gas exchange via legal means.

The project is known to be the dream project which is expected to connect the major producers from Turkmenistan to Pakistan and then India, passing through the mountains of Afghanistan.

The project is named TAPI and is expected to connect the major gas routes by 1,800 kilometer pipeline. The scheme is estimated to cost $ 7.5 billion with a major interest of US biggest giants ExxonMobil and Chevron. These giants are on their mission convincing Turkmenistan to give up some of its gas fields, but have not succeeded as the deal is not in accordance with the county’s law.
