Murderers of PTI Leader Zahra Shahid Arrested; Claims Sindh Minister

Sindh Minister for Information and Local Government Sharjeel Inam Memon has told the media right before the provincial assembly session outside the Sindh Assembly on Friday that the Sindh operation aimed only to bring militants, terrorists and extortionists into the grasp of the law and it was not launched against any political party. He said that the government does not interrupt in the matters of Law Enforcement Agencies, and they are given a free hand so that they could produce better results.

“We have given free hand to the police and Rangers to carry out targeted operation and more raids than any other area of the city have been conducted in Lyari though it (Lyari) is the stronghold of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) but we did not interfere for sake of peace and tranquility,” Sharjeel Inam Memon said.

Memon appreciated the performance of police and rangers and said that the positive consequences show that peace has been restored to a greater extent and street crimes have been reduced to a large extent. While speaking to the media, he also said that the investigation of cases is better than ever and added that the police is successful to arrest the murderers of PTI leader Zahra Shahid.

Regarding the protest he said that PTI and PAT should end the sit-in and come on the platform for dialogs. Upon a question regarding the division of Sindh, he said that Sindh assembly unanimously passed a resolution against the division of the province into smaller units. He said that Sindh is our motherland and mothers cannot be divided.
