Nine Alleged TTP Men Arrested While Setting a Plot to Attack Army Officer

Nine alleged terrorists from the banned organization TTP, were arrested in a raid by Islamabad security forces for plotting an attack on an army officer.

The news of 14 terrorist hiding in a mosque of Sector G-10, Islamabad, was followed by a raid and arrest of 9 of them. The terrorists are all supposed to be from the northwest areas of Bajaur and Swat, who intended to target a senior military officer. A number of incursions and search operations have been carried in the past in the capital.

Islamabad is the federal capital of Pakistan, and a number of searches have been carried out in the city in the recent past. Earlier to this, the security forces have claimed to make unsuccessful many of such attacks directed towards the Parliament.
