The forum was quite impressed with the availability of the different types of vaccines in the country. It also expressed satisfaction at the successful procurement of additional doses. In addition, all federating units were granted permission to buy vaccines at their own ends.

The participants at the meeting went on to add that they were concerned regarding the rising number of cases in the area of Gilgit-Baltistan. They emphasized that it was important to strictly implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to tourism, specifically in the northern region of the country.

Moreover, relevant federating units were also granted permission to plan summer holidays on their own. It was said that the units are better equipped to make these decisions and do right by education institutions since they are well-aware of the situation in their respective regions.

On the 24th of June, the government of the country stressed how important it is for all countries across the world to come up with a joint global strategy, as well as a response to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
