Shafqat Mehmood versus Students:

Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood was in the news for the most part of the year and that started when he announced about the reopening of the school, colleges on the 1st of March when the Covid’19 was still on the rise. It was rather a hard pill to swallow for students as they were clueless about the decision of the government. The love-hate relationship between students and the Education minister kept on going for the whole year. Students used the Twitter platform to get engaged with Shafqat Mehmood.

Prayers for Ali Sadpara:

In the month of February, Muhammad Ali Sadpara went missing along with his two fellow climbers in the mountain of K2. After they covered a significant amount of climbing, they lost communication with their support team. 

The whole nation was embracing his fighting spirit and doer instinct. We saw people praying for his life on social media by posting his achievements and dedicated posts.

University Expelled students for hugging:

This is one of the incidents that caught all of our attention when the University of Lahore expelled its students for hugging on campus. The video got circulated on social media in which it can be clearly seen that girl on the knees holding flowers and cards for a boy and at the very next moment they are seen hugging in a massive gathering of other students.

People had their opinion on social media as some thought it was a justified decision of expelling them since they can have a negative impact on other students while other thought rather than going after students, the university must look up to the more dangerous issues like harassment.
