Two Terror Attacks In Balochistan Repulsed By Forces

The army’s media wing stated that terrorists tried to attack security forces camps in Balochistan’s Nashki and Panjgur in separate assaults on Wednesday late night.

The military media affairs wing stated on Thursday that in Balochistan’s Kech district after terrorists attacked a security forces check-post, ten soldiers were martyred.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that on Wednesday four terrorists were killed during an intense exchange of fire and a soldier embraced martyrdom, as security forces repulsed attempted attacks on their camps in Naushki and Panjgur areas of Balochistan.

As per the ISPR statement, heavy casualties have been inflicted upon terrorists. It further said that terrorists tried to attack camps of security forces at two different locations Naushki and Panjgur in Balochistan late at night on Wednesday. Both assaults had been successfully repulsed while causing heavy casualties on terrorists, it added.

The ISPR stated that terrorists attempted to enter the camp of security forces in Panjgur from two sides. But, the prompt response by the army stopped their attempt. It further stated that one soldier was martyred and terrorists fled while their casualties had been ascertained.

The statement concluded that in Naushki, four terrorists were killed while trying to enter an FC camp, and one officer has been injured during the attack and random firing continued.

These attacks have been the latest in a series of terrorist acts observed in recent weeks in the province. Last week, the ISPR had stated that terrorists attacked a check-post in the Kech district of Balochistan in which 10 soldiers have been martyred.

The attack occurred on the night between January 25 and 26. The troops repulsed the attack during which one terrorist was also killed and several injured according to the ISPR.

According to an official statement, three men from a pro-government tribal militia, known as Levies Forces, and a member of paramilitary of Balochistan Levies Force were martyred when a landmine hit their vehicle in the Mat area of Sui in Dera Bugti district. 

The men were searching thieves in the area when their vehicle was hit by the landmine, a senior government official had stated. The 10 others were injured in the incident. Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo Chief Minister of Balochistan identified the deceased as members of the local Aman Force.

Rescue officials stated that at least six people were also killed in Quetta and Chagai district in another firing incident last Friday. While several sustained injuries and four people were killed during the firing incident in Quetta and two others died in a shooting in Dalbandin.

In a hand grenade explosion in Sohbatpur Chowk Dera Allahyar in Jaffarabad minimum of 16 people, including two policemen were injured. Police had stated that they have been investigating the case to examine whether or not it was a terrorist attack or a case of personal conflict.

The ISPR stated that the military has decided to get rid of terrorists from our soil irrespective of the cost. 

In an exchange of fire with terrorists while an intelligence-based operation (IBO), four soldiers of the Pakistan Army were martyred, last month in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan tribal district.
