Ukraine Agreed To Talks With Russia After Its Nuclear Defences On Alert
The Ukrainian government stated on Sunday that it had agreed to talk with Russian authorities after four days of fighting, as President Vladimir Putin had ordered to put Russia’s nuclear deterrence forces on high alert.
Dozens of civilian people have been already killed during the conflict and hundreds of thousands were forced to flee.
The office of President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukrainian representatives would be meeting Russian officials at the Belarus border from where Russian forces attacked Ukraine. The meeting is expected near Chernobyl which is one of the world’s worst nuclear tragic site.
Ukraine President Office made a statement after President Zelensky has spoken to his Belarus counterpart Alexander Lukashenko, saying the politicians agreed that the Ukraine representatives would meet the Russian counterparts without any preconditions. Earlier Ukrainian forces stated that on the fourth day of the Russian invasion, they had repelled a Russian attack into the second biggest city of Ukraine, Kharkiv.
